Greedy McCready: sending jobs to China, lining his own pockets, and sticking YOU with the bill.
Dan McCready says he’s going to put “country over party,” but Greedy McCready is only ever out for himself. Greedy McCready has spent years making the system work … for himself, while leaving North Carolina families with the bill.
- Dan McCready sat on the board of a special interest group, which spent over $450,000 lobbying for expensive energy mandates that sent electricity bills skyrocketing, while steering big bucks to solar businesses like his own. Energy bills went up. North Carolina lost 32,000 jobs. But Dan McCready? He just got richer and richer.
- Dan McCready invested heavily in a company that outsourced good-paying American manufacturing jobs to China. Rather than supporting jobs “Made In America,” Dan McCready used his company to outsource solar panels on the cheap from China, sending countless jobs overseas.
Using Special Interests To Lobby for Insider Deals for His Company
According to a blistering expose in the Washington Examiner, Dan McCready sat on the board of a special interest group that spent over $450,000 lobbying the State of North Carolina for sweetheart deals that siphoned huge sums of money from ratepayers, and enriched businesses like his own.
The mandates his group lobbied for meant middle-class North Carolina families faced $149 million in additional fees on their electric bills. Families had $3,400 a year cut from their bottom line, and North Carolina lost 32,000 jobs.
But McCready’s company sure didn’t feel the pain. He just got richer and richer by the day.
Shipping Jobs to China
Despite promising to “get tough” on China, Greedy Dan McCready invested heavily in a company that outsourced good-paying manufacturing jobs to China.
Import records and a report uncovered by Fox show that “much” of Dan McCready’s investment in solar had gone to a company that had outsourced its solar panels on the cheap from China. Jobs went overseas, but Greedy McCready didn’t care. Because for Greedy McCready, the only thing that’s important, is himself and his own bottom line.
Getting Rich on Special Tax Loopholes
Dan McCready is always looking for ways to make the system work, for himself. While his campaign talks about closing loopholes, reports show he and his wife used special tax loopholes to put more than $50,000 tax dollars back into their pockets, making a rich man even richer. Like always, it’s Dan McCready first; North Carolina, last.
